In the current weak US job market, some community members have emerged from long stretches of unemployment with strengthened faith and paychecks in hand.

 

The Kingston branch held a large Festival of Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 19. Ushers estimated that 300 people attended the ecumenical service, put on by the 30-member branch.

 

Locksley Robinson was appointed to lead the Kingston branch in December.

 

Three high school students have come underway in the Oahu branch. Action trips, the community’s music and a desire for Christian friendships all played roles in attracting the students.

 
 

A fire severely damaged the home of Larry and Valerie Day (South Bend) on September 10. The blaze melted pots and pans, burned through walls and destroyed part of the roof. The home’s inside is mostly ruined, but its brick exterior is intact.
