Our Lord Jesus desires unity in his people. As members of the People of Praise, we live out his plan for Christian unity as best we can, despite the divisions that still exist within Christianity. We are Methodists, Roman Catholics, Lutherans, Pentecostals, Presbyterians, Episcopalians and other denominational and nondenominational Christians. While remaining faithful members of our own churches, we have decided to live our daily lives together.

We share life with one another in friendship, in small groups and in larger gatherings for worship and praise of God. We read Scripture together. We share meals together. We sing out our praises together. We attend one another's baptisms, weddings and funerals. We support one another financially and spiritually. We strive to live our daily lives in our families, workplaces and cities in harmony with God and with all people.

Like hundreds of millions of other Christians in the Pentecostal movement, People of Praise members have been baptized in the Holy Spirit and have received charismatic gifts from the Holy Spirit as described in the New Testament. This is a source of great joy for us and an important aspect of what God is doing in our world today.

The People of Praise takes reports of abuse very seriously. If you have reason to believe that sexual or physical abuse of a child has occurred, you should immediately contact government authorities. Information for whom to contact can be found here: U.S. States, Saskatchewan, Jamaica, and in Grenada call 440-6980. People of Praise members should also immediately inform their branch or work leader. The People of Praise has retained the firm of Lathrop GPM to facilitate independent reporting and investigation of incidents of sexual misconduct or the abuse of a child.
